Criminal Screening Procedure

Have you ever been convicted by any court of a crime, other than a minor traffic violation?

If you answered YES to the above question, you will not be able to continue with the CNA program until it is cleared by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Fingerprinting on Campus

All accepted CNA students will come to campus on a specific day to be fingerprinted via LiveScan. The LiveScan fingerprinting results will be sent straight to the CDPH.

If the results of the LiveScan return with a conviction, the CDPH will contact the student by mail to request additional information needed to obtain a clearance. You will not be able to start the program until you are cleared.
