APPLY FOR YOUR DEGREE OR CERTIFICATE
Please click here for information on how to complete your degree or certificate application
Students may apply for an Associate Degree or Certificate of Achievement once all of the requirements have been fulfilled or if all of the requirements will be fulfilled by the end of the Spring 2027 semester.
To confirm the status of your degree, check your unofficial transcript in the My.SBCC portal (Records --> Transcripts / Grade Info). If you already earned a degree, it will state “Awarded." It will state “Pending”
if your application has been received and is still in progress.
Students completing their final requirements in Summer 2027 are welcome to participate
in the 2027 Commencement and have their names announced on the stage.
Note: Diplomas are not distributed at Commencement. Degree and certificate applications pending for Spring 2027 will not be reviewed for final completion until after the end of the semester. The review period takes three to four weeks.
