Important Dates
It is time to prepare requests for new and replacement faculty positions. Departments requesting faculty positions must include these requests in their program review and resource requests and are required to present a formal proposal to the Senate in support of their request(s).

Wednesday, August 2 2023 | Memo to department chairs informing them of the timelines and procedures for requesting new and/or replacement tenure track positions for 2024-2025 |
Monday, August 28 2023 @ 4 p.m. | Deadline for faculty to announce retirement |
Wednesday, September 6 2023 @ 4 p.m. | Request for quantitative information to office of Academic Affairs |
Tuesday, September 19 2023 @ 4 p.m. | All proposals for new & replacement faculty positions submitted electronically to the Offices of VPAA and VPSA |
September 27 2023 and October 4 2023 | Department chair presentations to Academic Senate |
Wednesday, October 11 2023 | Academic Senate ranks tenure-track faculty proposals and sends proposals and rankings to Superintendent / President for consideration |
Tuesday, October 17, 2023 | Superintendent / President shares the proposal for positions for hiring at PC |
Tuesday, October 31, 2023 | Superintendent / President announces approved positions for hiring at CPC |
Tuesday, October 31 2023 - Friday, December 1 2023 | Committee begin to form and receive EEO / legal orientation. Evaluation factors and questions prepared |
Monday, January 29, 2024 | Drafts of online job postings initiated by Human Resources. Emailed to the Dept. Chairs and Deans to update and review |
TBD | HR / President / VPAA / VPSA meet with department chairs and deans regarding orientation/goals |
Monday, February 5, 2024 | Chairs, Deans, VPAA, VPSA, Controller, VP of HR review/approve online job postings |
Friday, February 9, 2024 | Jobs posted online with NeoED. Promotional brochures distributed, ads placed |
